Plot: A billionaire adventurer on an archaeological expedition in Africa finds the Corona Aurora, a crown that bestows ultimate power to the wearer, but it is missing its seven jewels. A ghostly Templar Knight visits the discoverer and tells him he must find the jewels or evil will be able to gain the power of the crown. The discoverer of the Corona Aurora uses his intelligence and wealth to construct technology and machinery and trust them in the hands of an elite team known as the Operation Overdrive Power Rangers.

First Appearance: Heart of Blue
Info:This black-and-blue-colored keylock-themed monster was first seen trying to "kidnap" Mira in order to lure Dax to where he was in the city. Dax attacked the monster and gave him a beating to impress Mira; soon the monster retreated. Later, Ultreg returned, seeking the Neptune scrolls. The Rangers battled him, but because Dax's heart was so tender after thinking about Mira, Dax could not handle him. Ultreg threatened to take Mira away again unless the Rangers gave him the scrolls. Dax, feeling helpless, handed them over, but the monster left with Mira anyway. Ultreg had absorbed the power of the two scrolls he had taken, making him stronger than before. He proved to be too much for the other four Rangers, but the tables were turned when Dax came back to join the others, as well as to reveal that the third scroll that Mira (who finally revealed to Dax her true identity of the evil Miratrix) had stolen was a fake. The Rangers soon took out Ultreg, but from inside the jewel of Miratrix's necklace, Kamdar made him grow. After forming the DriveMax Megazord, Ultreg had the upper hand again, but then Spencer gave the Rangers the power of the third scroll, which allowed them to suck the power of the other scrolls out of the monster; the scrolls then made their way back into Spencer's hands. Soon afterwards, Ultreg was destroyed by the DriveMax Megazord Saber.


Bombardo


Episode Appearance: Pirate in Pink
Info: A arquebus/factory object monster sent to obtain the Eye of the Sea. In the first encounter with it alongside Miratrix, it attacked the Rangers until it fought Rose who was possessed by Brownbeard the Pirate's ghost causing him and Miratrix to fall back. When Brownbeard unpossessed Rose, he had the Eye of the Sea until Miratrix and Bombardo attacked and made off with the Eye of the Sea. Brownbeard's ghost caught up with Miratrix and Bombardo trying to reclaim the Eye of the Sea and was being defeated when Rose appeared. Bombardo used the Eye of the Sea to turn into a giant buzzsaw machine and was taken out by the Shovel Driver causing him to revert back. Kamdor made Bombardo grow and the Drivemax Megazord combined with the Shovel Driver to form the Drivemax Megazord Shovel Formation. It was this form that destroyed Bombardo.

Big Mouth Monster


Episode Appearance: Both Sides Now
Info:
This money purse/vacuum cleaner monster was created from a blue purse on a picnic blanket, not far from where Miratrix was battling four of the Rangers. While Kamdor was battling Will, Miratrix called on Kamdor to create the monster. Soon the monster attacked the other Rangers while Miratrix continued her hunt for the Hou-ou bird. Three of the Rangers struggled against the monster, but Ronny was able to handle him. Will, after defeating Kamdor, soon came in to give the others an added advantage. Mack used his Drill Blaster to take the monster out, but Kamdor made him grow. The Rangers Crane Driver to trap the monster, and then they finished him off with the DriveMax Megazord Drill and Crane Formation while he was still trapped.

Red Drive Ranger

Bio: Mackenzie Hartford, nicknamed Mack, is the Red Ranger and son of Andrew Hartford. He is the only Ranger not deliberately recruited, being involved in Operation Overdrive by accident and against his father's wishes. Outgoing and enthusiastic, he was sheltered by his father for most of his life and had the desire to prove himself. Mack is heavily into adventure novels and other escapist fantasies, and is determined to be a Ranger; he takes failure badly, almost quitting when he failed to protect a civilian (in Weather Or Not). He showed bravery and quick tactical thinking in his first battle and has been quickly accepted & trusted as leader by the other Rangers. He has a close relationship with the household butler Spencer. His father's over-protectiveness is shown in the second episode, where Spencer increases the power of the Genetic Scrambler, granting Mack power which appears greater then the other Rangers, this is also one of the first reasons which explains why the Red Ranger is always more powerful then the other rangers.



Black Drive Ranger

Bio: Will Aton is the Black Overdrive Ranger. A suave and cocky spy-for-hire with a bag full of high-tech equipment, he enjoys any chance to prove his skills against sophisticated security devices. Also a suave ladies man, ala a younger version of James Bond, who appreciates the finer things in life. Used to working alone, he was initially annoyed at having to work in a team and deliberately went off on his own in the Atlantis mission, getting frustrated every time he screwed up as a result; he realised he needed the team when Mack saved his life.



Blue Drive Ranger

Bio: Dax Lo is the Blue Overdrive Ranger. A highly skilled film stuntman, he was unappreciated and ignored in his job; he tends to babble about his previous roles and compare events to films. He adores the jokes but it does not like that anybody of account of his made an effort work. He is the most enthuisiastic of the Overdrive team, enjoying getting to be a real superhero. He used to have a girfriend named Mira, before she was revealed to be the powerful, evil Miratrix.



Yellow Drive Ranger

Bio: Veronica Robinson, nicknamed Ronny, is the Yellow Overdrive Ranger. A top race car driver in a male-dominated field, but can hold her own when dealing with the boys. She shows a tendency to get highly competitive. She shows extreme joy when faced with the vehicles the Overdrive team will use and attempts to act as driver as much as possible. When exploring areas once morphed, she can be extremely excitable.

Bio: Rose Ortiz, sometimes affectionately called Rosie, is the Pink Ranger. She is a Mensa level genius with an encyclopedic knowledge regarding almost any subject, from geography to the Overdrive equipment. Before joining the team she was building a robot in a University lab in London, as well as writing a paper on Advanced Nuclear Robotics Science, and at Harvard she took a year in Ancient Universal Legends. Despite her high intelligence, she shows a highly casual nature and is often found chewing something. Growing up so quickly because of her high intellegence, Rose didn't have much of a childhood, but it is Brownbeard the Pirate, possessing her and turning her into "Rosie the Bold", that she learns how to let loose, even with having to save the world.

Moltor


Bio: Moltor and his brother, Flurious, have fought since the beginning of time to obtain the Crown of the Gods. He was originally human, One day, he and his brother attempted to steal the Corona Aurora. But it was so powerful, it transformed them into monsters. Moltor was transformed into a red-ish reptilian creature and transported to a fiery planet. When the Corona Aurora was found by Andrew Hartford, It released him from his fiery imprisonment. He along with his henchmen, the Lava Lizards, attacked Earth, unleashed a volcanic erruption on the city, and kidnapped Andrew Hartford along with the Aurora. Flurious ordered him to bring him the gems of the Aurora. Moltor took Andrew to a lava-pit and threatened to throw him in if he did not agree to help find the gems. He was rescued by the Rangers. Later, he confronted his brother declaring it would be "a cold day in my lava-pit" before he would give up the Aurora to him. Flurious attacked him, and he counterattacked. After a short battle, they walked away from the battle. He lives in the core of a volcano. He usually fights wielding two swords.


Lava Lizards


Bio: Reptilian henchmen for Moltor that carry swords as their weapons. They can also survive being thrown into molten lava.

Giant Sea Creature


Episode Appearance : Kick Into Overdrive, Part 2
Info: A giant long-necked cyber-dinosaur monster called by Moltor to attack after losing Andrew to the Rangers. Though it was defeated by the DriveMax Megazord, Moltor activated the monster's self-destruct to blow up the Megazord and destroy the rangers, who then managed to have the DriveMax Megazord kick the monster away before it blew up.


Valcon


Episode appearance: At All Cost
Info: Originally a lava lizard that Moltor transformed into a powerful volcano/dragon hybrid. It's mission was to steal Fire Heart's scale while an route to Hartford's Mansion. Moltor's plan was to use the scale to power up this monster into the utimate beast, but the plan was foilded as the Ranger's reclaimed the scale for the new Defender Vest. Valcon was destroyed by Mack with the new Drill Blaster weapon.

Neptune's Cocoon

Info: The Cocoon was located inside the Atlantis Temple of Atlantis, and was believed to belong to Neptune, God of the Sea. When the Rangers were able to retrieve it, the cocoon replicated itself. Luckily the Red Ranger knew of this kind of trick, and was successful in destroying the fakes, leaving the real one. Rose cracked open the cocoon, but instead of a Jewel, there was an Ancient Scroll.

Neptune's Scrolls


Energy Level: 86
Info: These ancient scrolls that is actually one of the three Neptune Scrolls that form the Sword of Neptune.


Sword of Neptune


Info: The anicent scroll in the cocoon had two other volumes. When the three Neptune Scrolls were put end to end, they formed a blade called the Sword of Neptune. Currently missing its jewel, it flew out of Rose's hands and pierced the island of Saint Lucia on a map, pointing the Rangers to their next adventure.

Weather Machine


Info: Moltor plans to use "Alien Technology" with human thchnnology to cause dry heat, thunderstorms & floods. Moltor and the lava lizards attach the weather machine with a Subatomic Energy Generator to give it power. The weather machine goes out of control and starts a blizzard traping the rangers zords. After the rangers get their zords running the weather machine turned into a monster. The rangers use the drivemax megazord (pickaxe) but does not leave a scratch. The rangers destroy the monster using the drivemax megazord drill formation.


Brownbeard's Lucky Pearl


Energy Level: 100
Info: When the Eye of the Sea didn't fit on the hilt of the Sword of Neptune, the rangers gave it to Brownbeard. In exchange, he gave him his lucky pearl, which fit the sword and meant this was possibly the first jewel to the Corona Aurora.


Dragon's Scale

Info: The scale of the dragon Fire Heart purchased by Andrew Hartford from Toby Slambrook (owner of the Rock Porium in Briarwood from (Power Rangers Mystic Force) to power up the Defender Vest.

Bio: Miratrix was first appeared in her human disguise of Mira. Faking a monster attack for Dax to save her from, she managed to become his girlfriend and used this position to gain the Sword of Neptune scrolls. She slipped up by mentioning the Rangers' quest for the jewels, which Dax had never told her; as a result, she was tricked into stealing a fake scroll and her plan was thwarted, Little is known of Miratrix's faction, save that they are also after the Corona Aurora jewels and that Miratrix works for a master. Dax has described her as an "intergalactic warrior" and has proven so with her hand-to-hand and tanto sword skill.


Kamdor


Bio: Kamdar, Miratrix's master, appears to be trapped inside a jewel that Miratrix wears around her neck. He can enlarge monsters using sutras.

Info: The Corona Aurora and its five Jewels hold the power over the universe. a million years ago, in a galaxy on the other side of the universe, there were two brothers, Flurious and Moltor. They tried to steal the Corona Aurora, but the crown was so powerful, it cursed them, changed their appearance and sent them off to distant planets, imprisoning them in their own elements. In order to stop anyone from getting the power again, the guardian took the five jewels from the crown and scattered them on a distant planet. That planet, those many million years ago was Earth.
Andrew Hartford later found the Crown, but when he did the crown awoke Flurious and Moltor. With evil returning to Earth for the Crown, the Guardian of the Crown told Mr. Hartford on how to protect it.
While Andrew Hartford did manage to keep the Corona Aurora safe for six month after he had recruited his Ranger team, Moltor and his forces surprised Hartford in his office and managed to steal the Crown.
The Crown still remains in the hands of Moltor, but the five Jewels are scattered over the Earth.

Info: The Control Console Drivers are used by the Rangers to control their DriveMax Zords. They close down into a briefcase form, and then expand into a steering wheel up when inserted into the control panels of the Zords.




Dump Driver


Info: The Dump Driver is the overdrive red ranger's zord. It is capable of carrying tons of material & is equipped with powerful lasers and claws. When the DriveMax Megazord is formed, the Dump Driver makes up the Main Body & Legs.



Speed Driver


Info: The Speed Driver is the overdrive black ranger's zord. it is capable of super speed & is equipped with powerful lasers. When the DriveMax Megazord is formed, the Speed Driver makes up the Chest.


Gyro Driver


Info: The Gyro Driver is the overdrive blue ranger's zord. It is capable of high speed flight & is equipped with powerful lasers. When the DriveMax Megazord is formed, the Gyro Driver makes up the Head.


Dozer Driver

Info: The Dozer Driver is the overdrive yellow ranger's zord. It is capable of earth scooping & is equipped with powerful lasers. When the DriveMax Megazord is formed, the Dozer Driver makes up the Right Arm.


Sub Driver


Info: The Sub Driver is the overdrive pink ranger's zord.It is capableof sea searching & is equipped with lasers & hydro claws. When the DriveMax Megazord is formed, the Sub Driver makes up the Left Arm.

Mega Truck

Info: When all five DriveMax Zords are together they can form the Mega Truck. It is capable of powerful lasers & high speed travel.


DriveMax Megazord


Info: When all five DriveMax Zords are together, the DriveMax Megazord is formed. The Megazord can first use The Drive Digger & Pickaxe to attack.These two weapon can then join together to form the Drive Digger Sword Mode. With the Sword, the DriveMax Megazord can unleash a slash attack.

Bio: Andrew Hartford is a billionaire adventure who found the Corona Aurora. After doing so, the Guardian of the Crown (Templar Knight) appeared to him and told him on what to do to protect it. Six months later, Hartford recruited his team of Rangers to help protect the Crown. With his knowledge and wealth, Andrew was able to create Power Ranger technology. Hartford himself was going to become the Overdrive Red Ranger, but his son Mack, proved many times over and over, that he deserved to be the Team Leader. Andrew now manages the technical side of operation overdrive.



Templar Knight



Bio: The Templar Knight is the first protector of the Corona Aurora. century's ago, after Flurious and Moltor had attempted to steal the Crown, the Knight took the Crown and its Jewels. This was done in order to stop anyone from getting the power again. The guardian scattered the crown and the five jewels on a distant planet. That planet, those many century's ago was Earth. The Guardian appeared to Andrew Hartford as a ghost after he had found the Corona Aurora, and explained to him about the evil that would come and what to do to protect the crown. He again appeared in order to convince Will, Dax, Ronny and Rose that Andrew was telling the truth.



Spencer


Bio: Spencer is a 10 year butler for the Hartfords. But he is more than a servant, he is a friend to Mack, Andrew Hartford and the Rangers.

Disney has registered the domain name of "Power Rangers Beast Fist" this means that we now officially have our FIRST title for Power Rangers 2008, as Power Rangers Beast Fist. Of course this will be taken from the 2007 Sentai Series Gekiranger.

"In the unprecedented 15th incarnation of the hit franchise, "Operation Overdrive" chronicles the adventures of five brave teens on an exciting global treasure hunt filled with mind-crunching puzzles to decode, action, adventure and spectacular battles, on a quest to find the "Corona Aurora," a crown said to bestow ultimate power to the wearer. Dark forces from the past awaken and search for the missing crown, which is encrusted with five magnificent jewels from seven galaxies, which will make evil unstoppable. The jewels must be found and secured or evil will wear the Corona Aurora. Our world and the entire universe's fate rests in the hands of "Power Rangers Operation Overdrive."

Geared towards boys 3-8 and has a parental guide of TV-Y7-FV, "Power Rangers Operation Overdrive" is produced by Ranger Productions Ltd.

While on an archeological excursion in Africa, billionaire/adventurer Andrew Hartford unearthed the crown portion of what he believes is the Corona Aurora. The jewels of the crown were missing from the corona. Upon returning home, Standish is visited by the crown's ghostly Templar Knight who assured him he has found the crown, but in doing so he was now responsible for protecting it. If the crown falls into the wrong hands, it can mean disaster not only for Earth but the entire universe.

Now Hartford must scour the globe and find the five jewels that were scattered across the Pangea many eons before man even existed. He uses his intelligence and wealth to construct the technology and machinery, including morphing Trackers, which he entrusts to an elite team of specialists to track down the jewels and save the universe. He assembles Power Rangers Operation Overdrive.

The team consists of Hartford's excitable and impetuous son, Mackenzie or Mack, who grabbed the Tracker to become a ranger and live out his dreams of adventure. Mack, the Red Ranger, possesses superior strength. While Rose, the Pink Ranger, can become invisible, she is a certified Mensa Genius and child prodigy who enjoys poetry but needs to work on her social skills – something she can't learn in a book. Will, the Black Ranger, is a suave, sophisticated ladies man, ala a younger version of James Bond, who appreciates the finer things in life. The Black Ranger possesses super sight and hearing. Ronny, the Yellow Ranger, is a top race car driver in a male-dominated field, but can hold her own when dealing with the boys. Her enhancement is super speed. Dax, the Blue Ranger is the best international stuntman in the business; with elastic bounce abilities as his genetic enhancement, he can take his stunt work to a whole new level.

As the five teens set out to find the five jewels and defeat those evil doers bent on destroying the universe, it's safe to know that the Power Rangers fight for what's right, honest and good. They're the heroes – "Power Rangers Operation Overdrive."

Starring are newcomer James Maclurcan as Mack/the Red Ranger; Rhoda Montemayor ("Finding Neverland") as Rose/the Pink Ranger; Samuell Benta ("Re-Born") as Will/the Black Ranger; newcomer Caitlin Murphy as Ronny/the Yellow Ranger and Gareth Yuen ("Ponderosa") as Dax/the Blue Ranger.
